I am gradually recording videos that students can use alongside the lesson sheets and songs they cover in there lessons. The videos will show me playing the parts that are covered within the lesson sheets and songs within each of the CGL guitar courses. Here is an example of me playing the intro solo to ‘johnny be good’ by Chuck Berry. This solo is covered on the intermediate guitar course, its one of the many great solo’s used to work on mixing major and minor Pentatonic scales. This video can be used by students to make sure they are using the correct finger patterns for the solo. Some of the videos will be put on Youtube, but the majority of them will be sent to students via email after they have covered a particular lesson. If you have any questions on my guitar courses please email email@example.com
Here is the third instalment of the blues licks mini lessons from CGL. This lick uses shape 1 of the C minor pentatonic, there is a diagram of this scale shape at the end of the video if you are not familiar with it. The lick involves a lot of finger strength to get the pull offs ringing out clearly, so make sure to practise the lick slowly. The TAB is at the end of the video, if you would like a free PDF copy of it email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
