I am a big fan of the MXR carbon copy analog delay pedal. It warms up your tone and has so many delay options. I generally use it as a rock n roll slap back, a long delay with modulation, or a short delay with one or two repeats to thicken up the guitar tone.

I have had the pleasure of owning and playing quite a few Sigma guitars. I first came across them when I was living and teaching the guitar in Brighton, a student bought in an old dreadnought that was made in the 70’s (I think) and it sounded and played beautifully, it was based on the Martin 000. Since they relaunched the brand I have bought a few, why I sold them I do not know but thats how it goes.
I thought I would make a little demo of the lovely Sigma LM-SGOO which appears to be based on Gibsons version of the Marting 000.
This guitar is so much fun to play, although it carries a price tag new of £475 it is worth it. If you come across one make sure you check it out.

Hi All,
Its once again been a while, after a busy Summer of lessons, things are starting to settle back into place with less changes.
I am currently looking into the possibility of offering Skype lessons from Trevada music, and have been putting together some short videos lately with my new Zoom Q4 digital camcorder. I hope to continue this regularly and put together some short video lessons as well as gear demos and generally guitar nerd stuff.
Here is a short video of the intro to the incredible song that is ‘Classical Gas’, its played on a Gibson J45 with, all the audio is direct from Zoom Q4‘s mic.

It has been a while since I made a video, so I pretty much got this one out of the case and plugged it into the amp and recorded.
This guitar is a little bit special, if you ever get a chance to try one the Joe Bonamassa Les Pauls, do so.
I have been a Fender player for many years and all of the Fenders I have owned have a fairly thin neck. This Les Paul has a nice chunky 1959 Les Paul neck based on one from Joe Bonamassas collection and it’s really changed my view on big guitar necks.
The guitar has been modified with 50’s wiring and fitted with some hand signed Seymour Duncan antiquities, these pickups are based on PAF humbucker pickups made in the late 50’s.
This is just a little noodling over a Gary Moore style backing track, all of the mistakes are free of charge 😉

Hi all,
Once again it has been a while since I have updated the blog, its been a very busy year so far and I have plenty of videos and pictures to gradually start loading onto the blog.
I am now back in to the full swing of lessons at Trevada music now that the summer is over.
Here is one of the videos I have recently put together, most of the videos are going to be first take improvisations using various guitars and amps.
In this video I am playing a 1989 50s reissue Telecaster which i have just sold, it is one of the highly regarded Made in Japan models and sounds great, I am playing into a lovely Two rock studio pro 22.

I have started the process of getting some videos together for students to use as a visual aid along with there lesson sheets. This one was great fun, a little cover of ‘Come over’ by Royal Blood.
